Northern Ireland has a large sailing community. Its closeness to the UK also means it gets many yachtsmen visiting. It has a delight of harbours and places to visit whilst boating that will astound you with their magical qualities, as well as provide some lovely watering holes ashore, Ballintoy, Carrickfergus, Ardglass and Strangford to name but a few.

It should be noted that although Northern Ireland is part of the UK, you may be asked to show your passport.

Weather Synopsis

Northern Ireland is more protected than the west coast of the Republic of Ireland. It tends to have flatter seas in the causeway between Northern Ireland and England.
