A combination course which allows you to put into practice what you have learned straight away
This course is concentrated over a minimum of 8 days, and each school will run it slightly differently although all adhering to the RYA syllabus. By the end of the course you will have the experience and skills to charter a small motor yacht or take your own boat out more confidently.
Min Age: 16
Previous Experience Required
2 days’ practical experience on a motor cruiser.

- Engine checks and routine maintenance
- Emergency situations
- Night cruising
Abilities gained after the course
You will be able to skipper a motor cruiser in familiar waters by day. On successful award of the Day Skipper licence you are eligible to apply for the International Certificate of Competence (depending on your nationality).
