For those wanting to take more adventurous trips during the day and night
You will learn how to navigate at planing speeds, during both day and night. You will learn to tackle more complex coastal passages and manage larger powerboats.
Min Age: 17
Previous Experience Required
Candidates should be competent to the standard of the RYA Intermediate Powerboat Certificate with a thorough knowledge of the navigation and chartwork to the level of RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Shorebased certificate. It is strongly recommended that candidates hold a valid RYA First Aid certificate and an RYA VHF operator’s certificate.

Abilities gained after the course
You will be able to plan and execute coastal trips and return to a familiar port by night. Successful candidates will receive the RYA Advanced Powerboating qualification.
If you wish to progress to vessels over 10m you should consider courses within the RYA Motor Cruising Scheme.
